Jacques Germain est né en France en 1915. Il s’inscrit à l’Académie Moderne de Paris où il fut élève de Fernand Léger et Amédée Ozenfant. C’est très jeune qu’il partit pour le Bauhaus de Dessau. Il aura été le seul français à recevoir l’enseignement de Kandinsky. Il exposa pour la première fois en 1949. Il participa également à plusieurs expositions collectives. Durant son long parcourt, il sera représenté par plusieurs galeries. Il est mort en 2001.
Jacques Germain was born in 1915. He enrolled at the Modern Academy of Paris where he was a pupil of Fernand Léger and Amédée Ozenfant. It was very young that he left for the Bauhaus in Dessau. He would have been the only French to receive Kandinsky’s teaching. He exhibited for the first time in 1949. During his long activity, he will be represented by several galleries. He died in 2001.
